What is an effluent disposal area plan?
The effluent disposal area plan should be drawn to scale not less than 1:100 on no larger than A3 size paper and indicate the following:
- Location and dimensions of all existing and proposed buildings, access points and fences
- Location of existing and/or proposed waste water management systems (including septic tanks) and effluent disposal areas on the property
- Location and length of all effluent lines/irrigation areas or other effluent disposal method, water pipes, drainage lines or water courses
- Location of any contamination, fill or rock outcrops
- Location of trees and significant vegetation
- Distance between the house and the septic tank
- A house (floor) plan
- Names of the streets at the closest intersection
- Direction of north
- Location of all vents; and inspection openings
- Clearly illustrate all fixtures
- The fall and contours of the land
