The usual government planning permit fees still apply

A planning permit application fee for VicSmart applications is payable to your local council to make a decision on your VicSmart application.

The fee will be $214.70 or $461.10, dependent on whether the cost of development is less or more than $10,000 (per class of application). If more than one class of application applies, then, the second fee is half of the lesser fee.

These fees are determined by the State government and are the same across councils.

Further, if you require a copy of title (most applicants will), Landata also charge to retrieve a copy of title online between $17-$35. This is a government fee for searching the public register.
