Derived from State Government guide to VicSmart permits and from New Fees under the Planning and Environment Act by the State of Victoria
The VicSmart Guide fees are to a business and separate from council fees. Council fees are payable if you use the guide or lodge your application directly to a council.
* In the City of Monash, the fee is $0 for Checklist 7 – Remove, destroy or lop one tree
** In the City of Yarra, the fee is $0 for Checklist 8 – Install solar panels that are visible from the street (other than a lane) or public park in a heritage overlay.
If you are applying for more than one class of VicSmart application, then the council is entitled to charge an additional fee, but rarely do.
Fees for multiple classes of planning application are calculated by adding the highest fee to 50% of the remaining fees.
Additional fees may be payable to amend a VicSmart permit equal to those above.
The Complete VicSmart Guide replicates the government’s VicSmart application form and checklists, and provides assistance to get the information requirements for any combination of types of VicSmart planning application and any Victorian local government council.
