Local heritage policy is outlined in the Local Planning Policy Framework (Clauses 20-29 in the local planning schemes). It exists in addition to the heritage overlay and outlines matters to be taken into account when considering applications for buildings, works or demolition to heritage places as identified in the Heritage Overlay. It may include the objectives of the policy, infomrtaion requirements and decision guidelines for heritage places that you need to respond to in your application.
Not all councils list this additional policy in their local planning schemes, but if the council does, you can view this policy in the related links and respond to it here.
