The VicSmart Planning Provisions: Clause 59.01-59.16 and Clause 71.06

The information requirements for your planning application, and decision guidelines by which councils assess VicSmart permit applications, are specified in the planning scheme. These outline the information that must be supplied to support your application and how the councils will assess them. They appear in Clause 59 and form the basis of the VicSmart Checklists. Details on the VicSmart process are outlined in Clause 71.06. Councils may request less information than is in the following clauses (and VicSmart checklists) but not more.

If you are using The Complete VicSmart Guide you don’t need to know much more about it – except that the guide assists you to meet all of the VicSmart application information requirements.
